Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This policy explains what SkillVantage Enterprise, LLC (“SkillVantage,” “we,” “us”) collects through GROW™ Connections, EmployerHub, and our websites (together, the “Services”), how we use it, who receives it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
You give us:
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled form), and your city and state. We do not ask for a street address or ZIP code on professional profiles.
- Profile content: headline, about text, photos, experience, education, skills, certifications, tools, work preferences, and any highlights you add.
- Resumes and files you upload, and the text we extract from them.
- Activity you create: posts, comments, likes, messages, connections, squad invitations, dreams and dream skills, job applications, saved jobs, and feedback.
- For organizations: company name, work email, website, role, and the details you submit to verify your organization.
We collect automatically: device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location from your network address, and similar usage data, using cookies and analytics tools (see section 8).
From others: if you sign in with LinkedIn, LinkedIn shares your name and email address with us. Other members and verified employers may share information about you, such as an endorsement or an application note.
Payments: when you buy a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card and billing address. We receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference, never your full card number.
Without an account: if you use a public skills-match tool without signing in, your resume and job description are processed only to show your result and are not saved to a GROW™ account.
2. How we use information
- Provide the Services: profiles, networking, messaging, squads, jobs, resumes, matching and EmployerHub tools.
- Compute explainable skills-match scores and gap analyses using defined rules, and, where we say so, use AI to explain results (see section 6).
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud.
- Send service messages, such as connection requests, huddle notices, receipts, and security alerts. Marketing email, if any, includes an unsubscribe link.
- Keep the Services safe: review reports, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and investigate abuse.
- Understand usage and improve the Services.
- Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
We do not use your resume or profile to train third-party AI models.
3. Who receives your information
- Other members. Your profile, posts and connections are visible as the settings of each feature allow. My Dreams is private unless you choose to show it. Squad reports share skill names and roles only, never member identities.
- Verified employers, only if you choose. Your resumes are private by default. A resume is visible to verified employers only if you set it to be shared, and you can withdraw it at any time. Your personal IntelliSkill™ results are not sent to employers. Employers may run their own matching on resumes they can see.
- Service providers who work for us under contract: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend and Microsoft (email), PostHog (analytics), and, when AI features are enabled, Anthropic (AI processing). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect people, the Services, or our rights.
- Business changes. If SkillVantage is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer, and we will tell you if your choices change.
4. Sale and sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because verified employers pay for access to candidate search, some privacy laws could treat making your resume visible to them as a “sale” or “sharing.” We treat it that way to protect you: it happens only when you choose to share a resume, and you can turn it off at any time on the Resume page or through Your Privacy Choices. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
5. Sensitive information
We do not ask for sensitive information such as government identifiers, health, race, religion, or precise location. Your resume or profile may contain some if you choose to include it. We use it only to provide the Services you asked for, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
6. AI and automated tools
Matching scores, Dreamometer progress, SR™ eligibility and Squad Analysis follow defined rules. AI is used only to explain evidence, point out gaps and suggest actions, never to set a score or decide eligibility. A person, not the tool, makes every hiring decision. Read more on AI and Automated Scoring, including how to ask for human review.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we collect, access and download your information, correct it, delete it, opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising, limit use of sensitive information, and appeal a refusal. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.
- Signed-in members can download their data and delete their account from Account settings.
- Anyone can submit a request on Your Privacy Choices or email privacy@skillvantageenterprise.com.
- We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days with notice. We may need to confirm your identity. An authorized agent may act for you with your written permission.
- California residents may also ask which categories of information we disclosed for direct marketing. We do not disclose it for that purpose.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, and measure usage with PostHog. If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics stay off until you accept them in the banner. Elsewhere they run unless you opt out. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals, and you can change your choice at any time on Your Privacy Choices. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in from working.
9. How long we keep information
- Account content stays until you delete it or your account. After you delete your account, we remove your information from our systems promptly. Copies in backups age out on their normal schedule, generally within 90 days.
- Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires, generally up to 7 years.
- Security and abuse logs are kept for about 12 months.
- Reports and legal requests are kept as long as needed to resolve them and meet legal duties.
10. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and logging to protect information, and our service providers do the same. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
The Services are for people 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us information, contact privacy@skillvantageenterprise.com and we will delete it.
12. Where information is processed, and visitors outside the United States
GROW™ is open to members worldwide, and SkillVantage Enterprise, LLCoperates it from the United States. Information is processed and stored in the United States, so if you use the Services from elsewhere your information is transferred there. Where the law requires it, we protect transfers with safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum in our agreements with service providers.
Our legal bases (EU, EEA, UK and similar laws): to provide the Services you asked for (contract); to keep them safe, prevent fraud and improve them (our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights); to meet legal duties; and, for analytics and any optional features, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rights. Besides the rights in section 7, you may ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, receive your information in a portable format, and withdraw consent. Use Your Privacy Choices or email privacy@skillvantageenterprise.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Scores and recommendations in GROW™ are not decisions with legal effect, and a person makes every hiring decision. You can ask for human review at any time. If the law requires us to appoint a representative in the EU or UK, we will list them here.
13. Changes to this policy
We will post changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the Services before it takes effect.
